Michelle has the extraordinary ability to literally paint a picture out of your brain based on some loosely described ideas of what you might want. I worked with her as part of my new house designing — multiple rooms. I’m so glad I could lock her down for all of the jobs because she put everything together so naturally while balancing it with creativity and nuanced changes in style to avoid monotony.
She clearly loves what she does and treats every client project as if it were her own. She designed our breakfast, dining, living, family, playroom, and perhaps even our home office (or maybe she just taught me along the way and I had her coaching me in my head! :)).
Loved my whole experience and we absolutely love our new home! She is incredible and she invests a lot in her clients — above and beyond.

When I was going through a difficult transition, I minimized my belongings and downsized to a tiny apartment – all of 200 square feet! I had no idea how to make this place feel like home.
Through her expertise, empathy, and creativity, Michelle was able to transform the space into a cute, functional place where I felt most at home. She was even able to nail the beachy chic style I was going for. Those 200 square feet were exactly what I needed in that moment, and Michelle made every inch feel like home.

Having moved to a new city during the global pandemic and spending way more time in my space, I realized I was in major need to make my rental place feel like home, not just a temporary pit stop. I have long admired Michelle's work and was thrilled when I saw she started Sassy Simplicity and I could finally benefit from her expertise and talent despite living in different cities.
The Room Design Package was perfect for my needs. She is extremely gifted at the art of listening and that came through in every consultation and the final design concept. She is intentional, asks thoughtful questions, and I always felt she had my best interest in mind. Designing a space for your home is a very intimate process and there is no one else I would've entrusted to join me in this journey of making my place, my home.

To say Michelle is a miracle worker is an understatement. I hired her to redesign my office. All I knew was that I wanted it to be a little feminine, but not so feminine that my son and husband wouldn’t feel comfortable working in there too. I thought I was going to buy all new office furniture and that would take up the hulk of my budget. From working with us on previous projects, she knew we were a little handy. When she asked me if I’d be up for using my old, out-of-date desk, I was a bit skeptical, but I trusted her. She came up with an amazing plan that included cutting down my 1980’s massive, solid wood desk, paint, new hardware, beautiful wallpaper, and a brilliant blue ceiling.
When I opened up the design, I literally had tears in my eyes. Because we reused what I already had, there was plenty of wiggle room in the budget to add elements that were needed in an office space (and we kept one massive desk from going to a landfill). I am so happy with my space! She took my lack of vision and turned it into everything I needed and wanted. Michelle was there to help us through the entire project. My updated office furniture is so much nicer than anything I could have replaced it with. My office is truly a place I look forward to entering every morning!
